Charlie Weasley

Weight: roughly 235 -- fluctuates depending on what is going on around him.
Sexual Orientation: Unknown -- he's been with dragons so long, he hasn't focused on sex or real relationships.

Physical markings: The odd visible burn mark on his skin or scars from past burns that could not be properly healed, although most of the true marks he has are easily covered up by clothing. He has no tattoos as no true artist would touch him with his scarred skin and possible nerve damage -- not to mention that Charlie isn't a masochist.

Appearance: Charlie is not the shortest Weasley, but he definitely is in the running with his brothers all being taller than he is. Neither is he the most handsome, but he has a certain charm to him that comes with being Arthur and Molly's son. He is stocky but muscular, and is positively covered with freckles -- so much that in particular lights or angles, he can almost pass for tan. Charlie will be the first to say he doesn't tan, he just freckles more. He keeps his hair short because the one time he grew it like Bill's he got it caught on branches and then nearly burned off by a dragon.

Family: Most everyone knows the Weasley family includes Arthur (his father), Molly (his mother), Bill, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny (brothers and sister "Ginevra"), and of course his sister-in-law Fleur.

History: Before and during the war, Charlie did a lot of work in foreign lands with dragons and keepers, though a lot of it wasn't well-known. His studies and work with dragons in Romania are the most detailed events anyone figures they could say about him, but even that isn't much. He holds high favour with several Romany tribes, despite his birth as a gadje, because he needed their help and was able to adapt to and learn about their language and culture over time. Whenever someone from the Order called on him, he would send help if he could not send himself, though when his brother asked him to return and be best man at his wedding, he was there as quickly as possible. Charlie missed the ultimate battle, however, because he was attending to an incident in China that nearly killed one of his best friends, and was unable to return in time.

Recent Past: Charlie's travels and the newest work he has begun have all been temporarily suspended due to the incident in China with a Fireball and a non-native egg. Stefan (the friend) was controlling a top-secret situation when something went terribly wrong, and many muggles had to have their minds altered for seeing what happened. The only problem is Charlie did not hear the proper story before the crowd was taken care of, and the truth has been garbled by gossip over time. Sending many owls back and forth to home and other friends who may have some answers to Stefan's condition, Charlie remains in China for the time being, hoping his friend will be stable and conscious soon so that he can return to his family.

Personality: Charlie is a friendly, easy-going, loyal, and brave fellow whose few phobias have been stuffed under layers of emotional hiding thicker than any dragon's hide -- though that doesn't mean the right thing won't bring them directly to the surface (much like a weakness in a dragon's hide). He'll damn the consequences when the circumstance calls for it, and do what is necessary to get the right conclusions, but he doesn't rule out what he has learned from his surroundings as much as things from his professors and other teachers over time -- to wait and reason with logic.

Strengths: An excellent flier; nearly fluent in Romanian, German, Mandarin, and French -- much to the annoyance of Bill, who still hasn't mastered the language from what Charlie understands; knows the ins and outs of dragons better than most books written on the subject; skilled in duelling, but prefers to avoid it.

Weaknesses: Being a willing learner also makes him slightly naive -- wishing to take people at their word when he knows he should know better. (He says he'll never learn.) He tends to rush into things when people he cares about are in trouble/danger/suffering, and won't always wait to hear the full story before leaving. He also has a bit of a temper, and his jokes can turn to snapping comments (and sometimes blows) without warning if the odd snide comment hits a nerve.

Habits: Charlie gnaws at the end of his fingers when he is nervous. Not the nails, as they never seem to want to grow, but the skin itself. He also needs something in his hands or covering his hands (like fingerless gloves) because otherwise he'll obsess over wanting to wash them. He believes that comes from the first time he had an irritatingly disgusting encounter with a dragon and soiled his hands thoroughly. He doesn't like to talk about it.
